Mike Kavanagh DVM
Dr. Kavanagh has worked at Saddleback for over 10 years! In the process he has been here as a technician, hospital manager and now the owner and Veterinarian. He loves seeing all the familiar faces as well as the new ones coming in to meet us for the first time! Dr. Kavanagh has a real passion for animal care. He has been involved with animal his whole life! He started by sharing his matchbox cars with the familys litter of newborn kittens to the displeasure of their frantic mother! He was involver in FFA throughout highschool raising sheep and beef. He went to Mt SAC as a technician and eventually finished his prerequisites for Veterinary School at Cal Poly Pomona. He was part of the inaugural class at Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona California and graduated in 2007. He bagan working at Saddleback shortly thereafter as a veterinarian and proceeded to purchase the hospital from longtime friend and mentor Dr. Tim Metzger. Dr. Kavanagh loves to see all pets! A typical day could include dogs, cats, pigs, goats and a hamster or two! Not only does Dr. Kavanagh treat the pets here at Saddleback, but he is also involved with the Orange County Fair, Centennial Farms and local highschool FFA chapters.
Dr. Kavanagh is a husband of 11 years to his wife Melinda and a proud daddy to three beautiful girls Reagan, Kaitlyn and Natalie. His family are frequently at the hospital either visiting or working. Melinda started working at Saddleback in 1996 and still works as a technician! Reagan starts Kindergarten in 2009 at 5 years old and comes with daddy to see the animals. Kaitlyn, 2 and Natalie, 6mo stay at home with mommy or grandma and visit occasionally!

Ted Church DVM
Dr. Church was born and raised on a dairy farm in Connecticut. He received his bachelor's degree in pre-veterinary science from Rutgers-The State University. After an 18-month tour of duty in the Navy, he received a master's degree in veterinary pathology from The University of Connecticut. In 1981, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from LMU-Munich, Germany.
Dr. Church completed an internship and surgical residency at the Animal Medical Center, New York, N.Y., where he remained on staff for another three years. Subsequently, he honed his skills at a variety of large and small veterinary hospitals prior to operating his own small-animal practice.
He has authored over 12 veterinary publications and brings over 25 years of clinical experience as a board-eligible surgeon. Dr. Church enjoys working in the garage on various projects and skeet shooting with his wife.
Alexandra "Lalli" Schneider
Lalli helps Dr. Kavanagh run the treatment area of the hospital. She is kind and compassionate while caring for our patients. She does the x-rays, blood tests, anesthesia, care of the animal’s pre and post operatively and helps Dr. Kavanagh with the procedures. Lalli is from Germany, where she attended college before coming here to continue her studies at Laguna Beach Art Institute and Golden West College. She started at Saddleback full time in 2008, but had worked here previously on a part time basis. Many of you may recognize her as one of Dr. Lorrie Boldricks loyal technicians! She has worked with animals for 18 years and has many pets of her own. Her small farm includes dogs, cats, horses, turtles and tortoises.
Rhonda Henry
Rhonda can be seen at Saddleback running the front desk on most Saturdays. She attended Santiago Canyon College and Santa Ana College. She has been at Saddleback for a few of her 17 years working with animals. She has a dog, a cat, an iguana and a human! Her son Brett was born in 2007 and is her greatest joy!
Jessica Fitzpatrick
Jessica is our kennel attendant, receptionist, and vet assistant. She attended Chapman University where she completed her Bachelors in Advertising and Public Relations. She has worked at Saddleback for 10 months. Jessica loved raising her German Shepherds as a child and dreams of having more as an adult. She would enjoy teaching them in the German language and training them on agility. She currently enjoys her 2 red eared slider turtles. Jessica is hard working, compassionate, punctual, detail-oriented, motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
Jennifer Randall
Jennifer has been a staple at Saddleback for 7 years! She runs the front desk, is in charge of the kennels and does much of the office managing. She has two dogs Maggie a boxer and Joe a Rhodesian Ridgeback that are certified Therapy dogs. She also loves her Chihuahuas and cats. Jennifer is happily married with a daughter Katie who was born in 2004. Jennifer loves to show her Chihuahua's and take her therapy dogs on visits.
Linda Randall
Linda wears many hats! She is the Groomer and Pet Therapy Technician at Saddleback Animal Hospital. She is also a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Therapy Dogs International Evaluator. Linda has been at Saddleback for 10 years and worked with animals since 1978. Equally comfortable with a variety of breeds, her own dogs range from Chihuahuas to Irish Wolfhounds and include Afghan hounds. She also enjoys her cats and large birds. In addition to showing her dogs in the conformation ring, Linda has multiple dogs that are certified Therapy Dogs. Linda has excelled in the show ring with many of her beautiful dogs and one of her afghan hounds was featured in the 2003 movie Down With Love. When not busy with her career Linda loves to spend time with her husband and family.
Christina Rimke
Christina Rimke has worked at Saddleback for over 3 years. She started out as a kennel attendant and has learned how to do many duties including helping Dr. Kavanagh, reception and taking excellent care of your pets! She attended Orange Coast College and looks forward to completing her Bachelors in Zoology at a university. Christina and her fiance have just bought a house and are busy planning their marriage in May 2009. They enjoy their three pets, Zeebee the parakeet, Finnegan Flounder the betafish and Timmy the Chihuahua. Christina is hard working and compassionate and a real asset here at Saddleback Anumal Hospital.
